Martina BARCAROLI joined the law firm VOVAN & ASSOCIES in 2008. She in charge of the firm’s Rome offices and advices in the field of commercial law, European law, gaming law and national (France / Italy) and international litigation.
Since April 2012, she is a member of the Board of Directors of Ciments Français.

She started her career working in the Brussels offices of law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Brussels in 2000, then moved to the Competition Directorate of the has developed, since a number of years, a significant expertise in the field of gaming and gambling law. Within the context of these activities, she founded the Franco-Italian association Progetto Giochi as a think tank on the gaming and gambling market. Since 2010, she serves as speaker at the annual conference Monaco Igaming Exchanges (MiE) in Monaco.

Since 2006 she is the correspondent of the Italian Bar Council (Consiglio Nazionale Forense) in France and in charge of a number of European projects (such as, Penalnet and Avocats au Service des Avocats); she also serves as expert for the Italian delegation of the CCBE (European Bar Council) in the field of contract law and deontology.

Martina BARCAROLI moderates and organises the franco-italian special-guests meetings within the International Commission of the Paris Bar et organise les rencontres franco-italiennes dans le cadre de la Commission Internationale Ouverte de l'Ordre des Avocats de Paris.

She is author of a number of law review and press articles, such as the magazine GiocoNews (2010-2011), the newspaper La Tribune (2011), the revue Iga Magazine (2011) on the comparison between the Italian and French gambling laws, the revue Lamy Droit des Affaires (2010) on the law of class actions in France and Italy, the law review ACE (2009) on gambling in France, the review UnionCamere (2009) on liberalization of the legal profession in Italy.
